[ale] [semi OT] encouraging and discouraging HDD and SSD observations

Can't recall specs but I recently installed some 480G ssd drives for $325 a
pop. Not the fastest but in the upper 1/3 of the performance curve. I'm
putting some screamers for a new server. They were $400 or so?
Acmemicro.com has heavy Super micro gear.  :-)
