[ale] [OT] Question on Switches

I would take a look at the HP ProCurve line. They have some switches that pretty much fit your description. They are a bit easier to work with than the Cisco switches, in my opinion, and you can get a variety of options, including VLAN configuration, etc . . . They also used to have a lifetime warranty sort of like Craftsman tools, if I remember correctly.

Subject: [ale] [OT] Question on Switches

Guys,

I need advise, my current position I handle it all. So I am now a bit
lost on networking. I need to get a new switch, but I want something I
can vlan. I also want it to be 1 gig. 24 to 48 ports, web managed. Oh
between 300 to 500 dollars. Is there such an animal? Also is VLAN
easying?

Thanks.
