[ale] USB wifi recommendation

We used a phone-as-hotspot a few years ago when a vacation rental was
having DSL issues.  But I'm just looking for a way to update a non-phone
ipod touch without having to have multiple wifi reqistrations in a hotel
that does charge for internet
