If you're in town, GIM at Northside & Deering always has a selection of 2 year old off-lease PCs for a reasonable price. Our firewall is pfSense and are currently using one of those off-lease boxes we bought a few years ago. If it dies, we just run over, pick up another one, add a couple of network cards, install, and upload the backup-config file. We can be back to where we were, with permanent IPsec connections, filtering, etc., in under 2 hours.

Hi all. 

I've come to the point where my next generation o little ones will be going online, and I'm going to build me a content filtering firewall. (Ipcop) 

Thing is, I don't have any old hardware and need to get something, but anything I would buy in a store would be overkill. 

I'm looking for something P3 or later, mid tower with one drive bay is fine and 4-8G of memory. 

Anyone have anything like that you'd like to unload?
