You might have a look at XenConvert. You didn't mention what VM technology you were using, or if you'd picked Xen, KVM, or anything yet. We use XenServer (and are pleased to see it's open-sourced now!) and a colleague has used it successfully before. I believe the Linux Xen and XenServer images are compatible but I'm not 100% certain.

I have a PC running XP exclusively to run WiRNS, a replacement ReplayTV guide provider. I'd like to switch it over to run as a VM on my Linux box, but I don't have a full XP install disk for it. Is there a way to image the current real install and turn it into an .iso that I can use under a VM?
