The Aqueduct project focuses on shell scripts to meet various compliance
guidelines. Our current effort is to build STIG compliance scripts for
RHEL 6.
What this means to you is simple: this is a great opportunity to build
your shell scripting and grow your resume. We use Bash, Git, and have
started integrating generic functions for common events.
While you don't have to know what the STIGs do, it might help if you
want to work a DoD site. The scripts needing work have boiler plate
information that you can read and script from without having to actually
know the STIG.
You can read more about the project at: https://fedorahosted.org/aqueduct/
Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. You do not need to have
awesome script-fu yet; grasshopper. Code, and fu will come...
