[ale] [OT rant] selfishness

I'll second that. I grew up and learned how to drive in Texas, and good
manners was also part of the instruction. Then again, I've had people guess
I was from Texas just because Texans still know the words sir and ma'am.

But I could do ok without .50cals and mk19s.... I just wish all cars had
very bright red strobe light that started flashing when going over 45mph,
and it detects another car within two car lenghts. Sortof a shock collar
for tailgaiters.

Just the other day on 75 I was dri ving along at about the speed limit at
night with light rain, no one in the rear view. Then looked away for a
second, then glanced back and there was a car that had cut over from my
right, but was so close I couldn't see its headlights... probably half a
car length at full speed on the highway. No one has fast enough reaction
time to deal with that type of stupid... people wanting to do nascar
drafting and cut you off for using turn signals. I actually saw a 5 car
pileup happen in the lane right next to me on the connector one morning
because of this. Some one cut in too close to one guy, couldnt react when
that guy slowed down because he was tailgaiting too, and bumpercars ensued.
