Hi John,

Here are some random thoughts:

I'm assuming you meant 100.42 on that last ip address.

I've had similar problems with a small Linksys print server.

* Make sure the WAN port on the dlink is wired to the LAN port on the Motorola, if it has multiple ports.
* If the Dlink has a setting where you can set it to a specific address, check if those numbers are empty. You could set it to "use specific address", empty the numbers or set to an ip that will never exist on your network, save it, then reset it to dhcp.
* You could try resetting the dlink to factory defaults then resetting the settings you need.
* You could try reflashing the firmware of the dlink.
* If you have other switches, pc's, or routers that serve dhcp, make sure it's not talking to them.
* You could use another pc or router to see if those devices can get a proper dhcp address from the Motorola.
* Power cycle the Motorola.

Sincerely,

Ron
