I have to take exception to this statement. I've been running Linux
since 1991. I've administered Linux systems when I was working. I am
not in the habit of learning things that I don't use or use
infrequently. I leave those tasks to GUIs. I've never had to
administer iptables because I've always been behind firewalls that I
didn't have to administer. GUIs not just for noobs. I don't like to
waste time with a command line, when it's quicker to do it with a GUI or
I'm not very familiar with the command line interface.

That said, I do a lot from the command line. I prefer it most of the
time. My passion is programming and I don't even like IDEs. The seem to
get in the way. vim/make seems to work well most of the time.

So there! :)

Jim.
