If I could do it without venom I could go on for days about EMC's licensing and auditing for all products not just VMWare.   It's too bad really.   There was a time that EMC made their money by making a good product and providing excellent support.   Now they take over good products and their support even for their bread and butter disk arrays has become a joke.

We already had some Xen and added KVM mainly for the few Windows boxes.  We are mostly Linux on the server-side, so ESX was overkill.
