Wearing a suit and tie also shows respect to the interviewer. You are
willing to be professional and make a good impression.

One problem with researching the dress code is that different groups
within the company may have different dress codes. For example an
outside sales job may require more conservative dress code while someone
on a production floor may be dressed in a company provide uniform.
