We'll look forward to your participation, Mike. For now
I can offer a brief follow up that the group issues and options
discussion at last Thursday's Central Meeting produced a lot
of interesting feedback and ideas for revitalizing our ALE
offerings and improving the value of our group to it's members
and communities.

There was a lot of shared focus and consensus around mixing more
introductory topics and presentations into our meetings, making
volunteer opportunities more accessible, and expanding community
offerings with both "install fest" type events (adapted for the current
needs of FLOSS users), and through community education and outreach
activities based on broader interest issues. Of course, the possibility
of some tweaks and oiling of the ALE inter-tubes machinery was also
discussed, likely as a part of the pending migration to the new server
that
our generous hosting providers at Xilogix have set aside for us.

I'll be offering the recording and more detailed minutes when time
allows in the next week or so. In the meantime I invite everyone to
consider these topics a bit and bring your input to further discussions
here on the list and at our gatherings.

in peace,
Aaron Ruscetta
ALE Events Coordinator (etc)
