I know how to do it manually with gpsbabel, a gps tracker and KML, but that
isn't your question.
Making a webapp that does this sounds doable to me. Having different goals along
the track might be good too. Hummmmmmm.
Am I the only person confused by 500m - perhaps 500mi was your intent? 500
meters isn't very far. ;)
