[ale] HELP NEEDED - Comcast cable Modem and linux-centric home network

I don't think I'm using Business class - I signed up for the $30/month
intro offer for residential - I already have Comcast for TV
I have seen some mention of getting Comcast tech support to put the
cablemodem+router into "bridge mode" where it's just a cable modem,
but I have not yet followed that trail to its end
