Careful what you use for a fax modem. I was sending a long application
to an employer and got a call about missing information - couldn't
figure out what the problem was. I made a page with nothing but a
diagonal line on it and sure enough - the modem was leaving out
horizontal sections of pages, about 1/4" high. Replaced the no-name
modem from HL Computer with an actual Hayes from Goodwill and it worked
perfectly.
