I just placed my paid order yesterday. Really freaking psyched about it. I've been reading up on ideas others have been having for them. I found a site a few weeks back about some guys who were developing "extension" boards for the Pi to support different inputs and outputs. They had to close shop due to time constraints but released their work into the public domain for further development. In addition, I've stumbled across a few people who have started to do work with integrating Arduino shields on their RPi's, here is just one of those links, from hackaday.com -- http://hackaday.com/2012/05/06/using-arduino-shields-with-the-raspberry-pi/

I've recently been messing around with arduino boards; This is very relevant to my interests.
