backups are at regular rates.
Restores are at 1.5 rates.
Emergency restores are double rate
Emergency restores of systems that were known to have insufficient backup
and restore processes are at triple rate.
Recoveries of lost data from failed hard drives there were supposed to be
backed up by the boss/system-owner are quad rate PLUS expenses and I like
VERY expensive booze and dinners during recoveries. A case of 40 year
single-malt at a minimum.
Restores should be unattended until the very end. Restore to a secondary
location and migrate over when it's all complete. Separate the OS backup
from the data backup so data can be restored to a new system.
