[ale] android keyboard autocorrecting my typing

Hi all,
I recently installed the Jellybean keyboard on my ICS tablet at Justin's suggestion. I started poking around in the settings and found some interesting things. First, each software keyboard AND the physical keyboard, when it's on, have separate settings available. I prefer that the keyboard NOT correct any of my typing automatically, although I'm fine with it making suggestions. I went into the settings for the Jellybean keyboard and set it the way I wanted. THEN, when I was using my physical Bluetooth keyboard, I found that it had SEPARATE settings and that it had auto (everything) turned on. So, I went and turned all that off.
Also, I think that the Jellybean keyboard maintains its own separate user dictionary. And, there are options to either use the android spell checker or the Jellybean spell checker, which is somewhat confusing.
Finally, although I can't duplicate it at the moment, the spell checker always seems to flag any contraction I type as a misspelled word. Anyone else see that?
So, I just thought I'd let you guys know that it works this way.
Sincerely,
Ron
