Hi guys,

As you may know, the Java system from Oracle (formerly Sun) just keeps
popping up with more and more major security holes which can be quite
dangerous. There have been so many that I have just removed Java from
my Windows systems. I haven't totally figured out how to remove it from
my Linux systems. If a site needs Java, I generally just move on.
However, there are a few Java applications I want to run. On the latest
Security Now podcast, Steve mentioned the following link, which tells
how to disable the Java plugin in the browser while still leaving it on
your system. I may try to do something like that. I thought you'd like
to see it.

Sincerely,

Ron

(PS - If you email me and don't get a quick response, you might want to
call on the phone. I get about 300 emails per day from alternate energy
mailing lists and such. I don't always see new email messages very quickly.)
