I would think airfreight is a better because of the relatively small 
size and weight of your shipment.

If sent by sea your crates would probably be combined with others to 
fill a container (20' or 40') and the container would need to be sorted 
in Haiti. My guess your sea time shipping time would be about 2 - 4 
weeks with most of the time due to container assembly and breakdown. For 
example 1 week to assemble container, 1 week to load on ship (mostly 
container sitting in yard), 1 week sailing, 1 week to breakdown 
container. You would not ship your freight as break-bulk by sea

For air freight (say FedEx/UPS) once ready it will take about 2-4 days 
to get to Haiti and clear customs. If you can preclear the goods while 
in transit your time may be 1 - 2 days door to door.

You might check with a freight forwarder, Panalpina is one I used to 
work with about 10 years ago, about your options and the best way to get 
it there.

I used to work for German companies and was familiar with ocean and air 
shipping procedures.
