'buntu 11.10 ships with 3.4.3. The LO Java problem is primarily with
Base, recent versions of Java make Base run very slow. The recommended
Java versions, I believe, are -21 or -22 for use with Base. The only
other possible Java problems with LO would be with specific extensions
that use Java.
