[ale] OT: Disposal of standard fluorescent lamps?

You maybe missed earlier part of the thread. Home Depot DOES recycle
CFLs. I've done that already at the one in the Vinings.
The recycling below was for the non-CFL Fluorescents (tubes e.g.)
By the way my bathroom has a special kind of Fluorescent about the
length of the CFL but with a different base and using a rectangle shape
for the tube rather than a spiral. Home Depot took that for recycling
like the CFLs I had. They also sell that so maybe didn't want to argue
as I was buying a replacement at the time.

This is good to know! I'm finding the "10 year life span" to be totally
crap marketing and have a small collection of CFL's and few 4' tubes
that need a funeral.
BTW: CFL's are in general not designed for "base up" operation unless
specified.

They'll take them for .25 per bulb. Seems reasonable. If you decide to
take them up on this offer, you need to call as this location is a one
man operation and you need to coordinate dropping them off with Richard.
Also, the preference is exact cash, as he does not have a 'cash box'
on hand.
