RedHat allows redistribution of the code but not their name or logos.
As you (i.e. me and everyone else who is NOT a RedHat employee) have
no legal authority to represent them in any way, as such you can not
redistribute their name or logos. Since the binary form of the RHEL
distro includes their name and logo, you can't make copies and pass
that around. However you _can_ copy and pass around the srpm files all
you want.
RedHat has been quite liberal in their process by working to create a
way to strip out the branding fairly easily so they can comply with
both the letter and spirit of the GPL.
It's still a pile of work to build a distro from their source :-)
Thanks mainly to Oracle being turds, the kernel source patches are
much harder to strip out.
