That's the same chip I have, as it turns out.  It will work nicely in
the 790 MB I mentioned if the BIOS is up to date, or in the 890 which is
newer.  At the time I got that chip, I was running the prime95 program
to calculate prime numbers for scientific research.  I have since
discontinued that, but I still use the program occasionally for stress
testing systems.  It will max out all the CPU cores.  When I did that,
it rapidly overheated, until I went to liquid cooling.  Note that the
maximum temperature for that chip is 62 degrees C, not 100, as is the
case with some other chips.  The Corsair H70 liquid cooling unit has a
heat sink / pump that fits over the CPU which is much smaller than an
air cooling unit.  I think the CPU might be OK with air cooling at lower
CPU loads.  I don't remember the air cooler interfering with the memory
on the MSI board.

By the way, the latest issue of Computer Power User has a neat article
on MB's with integrated graphics, if that's your preference.  Page 22.
You can even download the current issue by clicking the floppy disk at
the bottom of the page.  They're available in print too.  Note that a
lot of those MB's are smaller, and don't have things like lots of push
button controls and LED digits.
