[ale] freenet6 timing out often

I've begun playing with IPv6 using Freenet6 and gw6c on a Ubuntu Lucid
server. It connects fine, but I'm noticing that about every 10-30
minutes, I see get something like this in the logs:

morannon gw6c: Keepalive processing stopped: General timeout detected.
morannon gw6c: General timeout detected.
morannon gw6c: Disconnected. Retrying.

The retry usually works, but occasionally I've seen it fail, which means
the IPv6 connection is lost. I presume this is *not* normal? Has
anyone else seen this kind of problem?

I'm beginning to wonder about the Netgear FVS318 router that connects my
home network to the internet. A few months ago I tried to set up
openvpn between my home network and my business partner's network, and I
saw a very similar problem. What the two have in common, of course, is
that they're maintaining a continuous connection over UDP, and said UDP
connection is being NATted by the FVS318. If the FVS318 has a bug where
it forgets UDP NATting at random intervals, it would explain the loss of
connection I'm seeing. This kind of thing sound familiar to anyone?
