I use dmcrypt or LUKS with LVM and no problem. All Devices are encrypted 
except for my boot drive. That one is a separate VG for with 5 or more 
LVs that is encrypted at the VG level and /boot is on it's own fs and 
unencrypted. I cannot speak for MD as I don't do RAID right now.
