[ale] GIS in 2012 - What's New

Shrug.  Okay. Phar be it from me to start a flame war.  Even Hitler and the
Nazis didn't like those!

I am using postGIS & QGIS on a daily basis at my current job, and I can
attest that they are well-designed and easy to use, and they produce
accurate, repeatable results in formats which are compatible with most
other mapping software.  From what I am hearing, none of these things are
true of the fantastically expensive alternative.
