It is possible to us video ram as swap space.  I don't think it is as
useful as you'd like it to be, though.  The NVidia card in my laptop
has 1 GB of video ram but it only has a 256MB and a 32MB address space
allocated.  I assume some sort of page flipping happens in the video
driver.
