+1 for wxPython, - I think I saw a tutorial for anjuta which was a dev
platform that would call glade or wx...

Though this might not be the right venue, I would like to see a basic set-up
of the eclipse platform for python/django/web programming.  It could sorta
be shoe-horned into a linux presentation.
