[ale] GParted & unallocated space

Earlier in the thread the discussion was about a system shipped with all
4 primary partitions in use.   If you want to use extended partitions
you need that 4th partition NOT to be a primary partition for something
else otherwise you can't create the extended partitions from 5 on.

There is no reason to blow away the restore partition.  It is small,
GRUB can boot it, and it is your backup in case you lose your DVDs.
