[ale] OT but IT related question regarding certifications

I don't know about LPI exams. RHCT is $399, RHCE is $799, per
attempt. There are classes to prepare you for those from RedHat,
though they're pricey. RH133 is the 4 day sysadmin training + RHCT
exam on Friday morning. RH300 is the 4 day sysadmin/network services
class + RHCE exam on Friday morning. If you're already pretty good at
Linux sysadmin, taking RH133 and passing the RHCT is reasonable. But
with RH300 you should already know 75% of the topics down cold (and
it's a huge list) to have a reasonable expectation of taking the class
and passin the exam.

Both the RHCE and RHCT have prepguides on Red Hat's website, which
includes the list of covered topics and what depth you need.

DO NOT take the RHCE exam unprepared, if you're rusty, it'll crush you!

Also, you might do a quick hotjobs or monster search to see what
certifications are being requested by employers looking for Linux folks.
