[ale] USB device not configuring

Just making a guess here, but I bet this device has a sub-ID that
isn't recognized by the driver. You might compare the output of `lsusb
-v` to what is listed in the source code for that driver[1]. You could
also just try upgrading your kernel to the latest version (2.6.34).
