[ale] [OT] Zero Evidence Electronic Voting Still Insane - Vote by Paper Ballot in the July 20th Primary!

Sorry for the OT, but it DOES involve the issue of Electronic
Voting and the common sense fact that Open Source Software
should be required for all computer voting system components.

So, a last minute reminder that you can still get an Absentee
PAPER ballot and provide EVIDENCE of your votes in the July
20th Georgia primary elections. Under current Georgia law you
do NOT need a reason to request and vote a paper absentee
ballot!

Full details and helpful links to official voting information
can be found at <http://PaperCounts.org>, but the short
view of the simple 3 step process is:
=====

1 => Request your absentee ballot by faxing, mailing or hand
delivering the application form found at
<http://papercounts.org/_documents/absentee_ballot_app.pdf>
to your County Registrar's office.

Address info for ALL Georgia County Registrars can be found at:
<http://papercounts.org/_documents/GA_county_registrar_offices-2008.pdf>
or using the Secretary of State registrar locator web page:
<http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/elections/voter_information/2000_voter_info.asp
 >

2 => Your Paper Absentee Ballot will arrive in the mail. Vote your
ballot privately at your convenience, following directions for securely
sealing your completed ballot in the dual envelopes.

3 => Deliver your completed and sealed ballot to your County
Registrar office in one of two ways:

-[a]- HAND DELIVER your paper ballot to your County Registrar
Office during any regular business hours, including 7:00am to
7:00pm ELECTION DAY (Tuesday July 20th in this case).***

-[b]- Post your ballot via U.S. Mail to your County Registrar Office
so that it will be delivered by 7:00pm on election day (Tuesday,
July 20th in this case).

=====
I faxed my Absentee Ballot Request to the DeKalb Country
registrar this afternoon. I hope everyone reading this will follow
the example. This is an EXTREMELY important primary because
we finally have a Secretary of State candidate, (D) Angela Moore,
who is fully and openly committed to restoring Paper Evidence to
ALL of Georgia's election systems AND to requiring Open Source
Software for any and all computer voting components.**

Also note that If you choose to vote a Republican Primary Ballot,
(absentee OR otherwise) you can still WRITE IN (D) Angela Moore
as your choice for Secretary of State and the vote WILL count.

Thanks for your attention, and whether you choose to vote with
paper evidence or not, PLEASE choose to VOTE!

peace
aaron

** As Chief Elections Officer, the Secretary of State can de-certify
any and all dysfunctional election systems being used in the State
at any time, thus there is greater motive than usual for Georgia's
current zero evidence election system vendor monopoly to tamper
with our election results. Having Absentee Paper Ballot evidence
available makes it harder to hide such tampering, as was highlighted
in the recent case of a contested South Carolina primary race where
county wide discrepancies as high as 45% were seen in the vote
totals between the verifiable Paper Absentee ballots and the
unverifiable paperless electronic results.

*** Note that you CANNOT deliver an absentee ballot to your polling
precinct. By law, they can't accept it. and the poll workers have been
directed by their vendor controlled training to try to make you vote on
the zero evidence electronic systems.
