I kicked my facepaint habit about two months ago(over some objections

There is no such thing as a free puppy. The site, the servers, and all
those apps must cost a fortune and they are selling every bit of info
they can get to recover costs and make a profit.

Much like commercial TV, you are the product, your time and attention,
and facepaint is selling it to its advertisers.  It's the new TV. Run ..
don't walk.
