The apps are packaged application images from the NeXT days.  I think its shared across another platform as well.  In any event, if something is an OSX compiled package, it won't be able to be run on OSX.

What I always recommend people do is run Linux, OSX, and Windows in individual images via BootCamp on their mac.  

But, unless its a web app or native to Linux, "no", you can't run iBank on Linux.
