Bazillion old Java was free though - Oracle is starting to assert rights
and costs for Java and in the most recent AUUG meeting an Oracle/Sun guy
noted that Sun had changed the model in 2006 but never enforced it so he
says Oracle is simply enforcing it. My own thought is Oracle starting
to make M$ look less greedy by comparison.

requires a bazillion year old java (1.3) and as such is not safe for
modern use. We have a pile of KVM that also use a bazillion year old
java which we can't use on our desktops.

Hmm, when I tried on RHEL 5.x it didn't work, and my co-worker couldn't
get it to work, either. Similarly, I haven't been able to get it to
work on Fedora.
*shrugs*
