That is absolutely correct.  Most every random PS/2 to USB adapter will
be flaky when used with a model m.  The random adapter that I was using
for a little while would reset itself every not and then, the keyboard
would stop working for about 2-3 seconds and the LEDs would flash.

I don't have a working adapter here, so I don't know which one to tell
you to buy.  I do have two model m keyboards here in my apartment and
there are probably still three or more sitting somewhere back home in
my parents' house.

I'm using a craptacular feeling Dell bluetooth keyboard right now.  It
is fine for a rubber dome keyboard but I sure do miss using my Model M.

Unfortunately, the location of my home office makes the use of such a
loud keyboard at 3:00 AM a bit rude.  It is because of that that I
haven't gone in search of a good adapter.
