[ale] Canonical discontinues Itanium and SPARC support in Ubuntu

Itanium isn't dead quite yet - It is what HP uses for HP-UX based
systems now in place of PA-RISC. HP quit making PA-RISC systems at the
end of 2009.

RedHat did announce that RHEL6 won't support Itanium but RHEL5 still
does and it is far from EOL. RHEL6 is in beta and RedHat's support
model means RHEL5 will be supported for quite a while even once RHEL6
goes GA.
