Or, even faster, if you have rows of pins bent over but not totally flat
against the underside of the CPU (as I have seen in such circumstances), you
can use something such as a slot filler or a credit card to slide under the
folded over pins and lean the pins back up straight all at once. Do this at
right angles for each row with bent pins. This method helps to keep the row
in alignment rather than having to wrangle each pin back into the proper
position individually. But the pencil trick is a great idea if you only have
a few bent pins.
