I've self-limited myself to one large closet SHELF (not the whole closet)
for such memoriabilia.. and a small shelf next to my desk of 
display-worthy items. It takes some discipline, but it can be done.

At work I have recently made several trips tossing/donating anything less 
than 2ghz/1gb ram to make room for new (to us) cabinets and servers.
