Actually, I saw some interesting remarks in a forum similar to this
from several months ago. Apparently broker.freenet6.net resolves to 2
address, the Amsterdam server and the Montreal server. "The remark was
that if you were using the Amsterdam server, it probably doesn't have
UDP".
broker.freenet6.net resolves to:
81.171.72.10
203.119.13.7
amsterdam.freenet6.net resolves to:
81.171.72.11
montreal.freenet6.net resolves to:
64.86.88.116
So, I'm not real sure which server your hitting but you might try the
Montreal server explicitly.
What IP address does wireshark say you're sending to?

It's been so long since I've used my Freenet6 account, I found my
client is way out of date and it sounds like we're suppose to be using
the gw6c client.
While browsing information on gw6c, I came across this page:
http://yorickdowne.wordpress.com/2009/08/09/ipv6-at-home-part-3-gogo6-hexago-tunnels-freenet6/
Now it says to use "authenticated.freenet6.net" instead of
"anonymous.freenet6.net" or "broker.freenet6.net". Unfortunately, I get
the same addresses back from that as "brokers". :-/
I think I would download install and try their lateset gw6c client
next.
