just fired up my new VM, PC-BSD, under Debian Lenny.. I know it's not really  
Linux, but it sure aint Windows:)

installed kmail, and sent myself a message. the headers showed this:
 Date: Fri, 27 Nov 2009 11:41:12 -0500
 User-Agent: KMail/1.11.4 (FreeBSD/7.2-STABLE; KDE/4.2.4; i386; ; )

12 Gb minimum for an install..
