[ale] Gotta share this spectacular fail

Okay so everyone knows Debian takes awhile for their releases... I've
just been floored by the fact of how long it takes for them to realize
there's a problem and *NOT* fix it... Back in July '08 I reported to the
FTP administrators that I was having problems with my package uploads
signed by my GPG key were being rejected. The error they stated the
validation routine was getting?

Rejected: found unknown status token 'SIG_SUBPACKET' from gpgv with
args '['24', '1', '21', 'hkp://subkeys.pgp.net']' in <package>.changes.

Well it doesn't take much to look in the DETAILS file that comes with
GPG and see that SIG_SUBPACKET is only the preferred keysever value, ergo...

[GNUPG:] SIG_SUBPACKET 24 1 21 hkp://subkeys.pgp.net

Signatures still good, packages is wonderfully built... yet rejected
because of a preferred keyserver preference being set on the key. So
you'd think it'd be a quick fix to get SIG_SUBPACKET handled and/or
ignored right? You're funny... It's November '09 and I'm still dealing
with the same error message and now have Debian's MIA team complaining
because I've not been active and uploading or maintaining my packages...
Why? because I can't actually upload anything they'll accept :)

Let's see how much longer it takes to get this matter handled. I'll
start a pool if anyone's feeling lucky...
