I got my Iriver E100 for $69 from Walmart ( online only). it is an 8Gb model, 
and I got an 8Gb SD card to add to it, so for under $100 I got a 16Gb MP3 
player. mounts as a regular USB device under Debian, Music goes under the 
Music folder, Videos under Video....
it does MP3s, videos, text files....
