Several ALE members have been working over the weekend to
continue forward with our ALE GPG KEY SIGNING PARTY at
this month's ALE CENTRAL mtg. on Thursday, Nov. 19th, 7:30pm.

Among those are Charles Shapiro, Jeremy Bouse and Michael
Warfield (who informed us that his broken leg will be keeping him
off his feet and recuperating for at least the next two months,
so we are especially grateful for his help and consultation).

WE HAVE SUBSTANTIALLY UPGRADED THE DOCUMENTATION
and provided Step by Step HowTo instructions to make it as easy
as possible to participate in the Key Signing Party and start protecting
your identity and securing your data with GPG. The HowTo pages
are linked in the event announcement at <http://ale.org>, with party
participation instructions at:
    <http://ale.org/static_pages/keysign_party_091119.html>
and Step by Step command line instructions for using GPG at:
    <http://ale.org/static_pages/gpgstepbystep.html>

In addition to his work preparing the GPG HowTo page, Charles
Shapiro will be stepping in to present the intro and overview
of GPG at 7:30pm, and Jeremy Bouse has volunteered to be the
master of ceremonies for the Key Signing party that will start
promptly at 8:00pm.

:-)
SO REMEMBER that people actually BROKE THEIR LEGS working
to bring you this opportunity and you will feel really, really bad if you
let it pass you by!
:-)

The deadline to generate and register your GPG key(s) has been
extended to Midnight (EST) on Wednesday, Nov. 18th. Remember
to bring a paper copy of your Key Info (UID, size, type & hex code
fingerprint) and photo ID if you are participating in the signing party.

The GPG Key Signing meeting will be at Emory Law School in our
usual Gambrel Hall, room 1C venue. Directions to venue can be
found at <http://mail.ale.org/?page_id=2>

We look forward to your participation!

peace
