power steering fluid is somewhat flammable. Stop driving the car
immediately and get it repaired. A leak that is a steady stream is a
serious risk.
Some hoses can be tightened if they became loose. Most hydraulic parts
simply must be replaced. Pumps often leak at the seal around the shaft
to the pulley. If the steering arm is leaking, you're looking at $$$.
As others have noted, newer cars are not gears for steering without
power assisted steering so it's going to become unsafe to drive.
Some cars have a top-mounted reservoir like a brake systems does.
There are 1 or 2 small gaskets at the junction of that part and the
pump that are pretty easy to replace.
Haynes and Chiltons manuals are your friend! Don't get cheap tools.
They are often poorly sized and fail at the worst times. Never
underestimate the importance of disconnecting the battery negative
terminal before working under the hood!
