[ale] what would YOU do with 24 SSD's?

That was my initial thought too but from the presentation they did at
AUUG it was clear they had put a lot of thought into what they were
doing.  In fact they CHOSE to do it on a card rather than as a hard
drive form factor for some reasons they were able to explain fairly well
(don't ask me what they were though - it was 2 months ago and my 51st
birthday is approaching...)

Ahh, reminds me of the days one would purchase hardcards for PC systems,

adding hard disks to systems that only had a floppy controller...
