We just switched from Comcast to AT&T mostly because we use the DVR
alot and the digital channels were getting more and more iffy (Takes a
lot of compression to get 300 channels i 950Mhz of space) I would ask
what level of service they expect to give. force them to give you a
%uptime for all channels guarnteed. And if not what compensation will
be involved if they do not meet that uptime. Nothing is more annoying
than after struggling with your kids to go to bed and then sitting
down to watch your favorite show only to find it was a bad recording.

By the way AT&T Fiber is not immune. The week we've had it we are
seeing the occasional loss of sound or picture.

On a side not I had a friend that got comcast's voip server. They
were claiming 100% uptime on voip. My friend had some sort of
automated voip testing going on and at the end of every month he would
bill comcast for the time that voip was down. There wasnt a month he
didnt get a discount.
