[ale] Motherboard Drives First, Please!

This problem is a real bear.
If the issue is grub, I have no idea what the fix is.
If it is linux, most modern distros have moved to using disk labels,
serial numbers, etc. to identify drives because of this issue.
Will that not work for you?
