[ale] vmware kernel

VMware ESX used to be based on RHL 7. I just downloaded the new (free for
DL, btw) ESXi and it also appears to be linux based but I haven't had a
chance to snoop around and see what distro it might be based on.  I'll keep
you posted as I have time to play with it.
